Polio Awareness Seminar Held in Islamabad by Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan in Collaboration with STMU & CECEL
The Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan (RCIM), in collaboration with Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU) and Canadian Education Centre for English Language (CECEL), organized a Polio Awareness Seminar at STMU on October 21, 2024 aimed at strengthening efforts towards eradicating polio.
Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar Held by RCIM
Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan organized Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar on Monday November 11, 2024 at 5.15 pm at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad with the purpose to spread the awareness among the females of about this deadly diseas. Seminar was presided by Rtn. Shabbir Malik, President RCIM. Seminar was started with the recitation from Holy Quran followed by National Anthem.
Mother & Child Health Seminar
The Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan, in partnership with Rawal General Hospital, successfully organized a seminar focused on Mother and Child Health. The event took place at Rawal General Hospital and witnessed active participation from a large number of women, highlighting the importance of maternal and child healthcare in the community.
As part of the seminar, over 100 gifts were distributed to children, symbolizing the celebration of the designated month for Mother and Child Health. The seminar not only emphasized critical healthcare topics but also created a supportive and engaging environment for mothers, children, and healthcare professionals to connect and exchange valuable insights. This initiative, backed by Rotary Club and Rawal General Hospital, underscores the continued efforts to raise awareness and improve the well-being of mothers and children in the region.
This is an umbrella project of Rotary Club of Islamabad and being run for the last three years. RCIM imports clean drinking water filtration cubes from UK and distributes in Flood Hit Areas and villages where clean drinking water is not available. Recently RCIM distributed these water filtration cubes among the families of villages of Golra, Shah Alllah Ditta and Bhaikar Fateh Baksh to help prevent waterborne diseases and promote healthier living conditions.

The Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan recently organized a Polio Immunization Camp as part of its commitment to eradicating polio and protecting the health of future generations. During the camp Polio immunization team from ministry of health was invited to administer the polio drops to tree school students under 5 years of age.

Provided Floor Matts
to Tree School
Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan arranged 4 floor Matts measuring 873 Sqr ft. for the students of Tree School located at village Bhaikar Fateh Bakhsh Sector E-13, Islamabad, These 4 Floor Matts were sponsored by our Senior Rotarian PP Tazeem Chaudhry Sb for Tree School. These Matts were delivered to Principal of Tree School Mr. Tanvir Ahmed by the President of RCIM Rtn. Shabbir Malik accompanied by PP Malik Ashraf Hameed Sb. Students were very happy to receive these Matts as they were in dire need of the same for sitting due to cold weather.
Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan Warm clothes at Tree School
With efforts of Malik Ashraf Hameed Sahab, a True Friend of Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan (name not to be disclosed) has arranged and distributed warm clothes (Hoodies & Trousers) among 50 poor students of Tree School. This act of kind of kindness of that Gentleman and Malik Ashraf Hameed Sb will surely protect these poor students of Tree School are attending classes in this cold weather at open area under Tree. Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan Warm clothes Family Packs at Tree School in collaboration with Akhuwat Foundation
On the request of President RCIM, M/s Akhuwat Foundation distributed 125 family packs of warm clothes at Tree School for the Students and their parents on December 12, 2024. Each packs contained dresses of kids and their parents with shoes and sweaters. President RCM and Past President Malik Ashraf Hameed Sahab arranged the distribution of these family packs at Tree School with the help of Akhuwat Foundation Staff members. Parents and Students of Tree School were present to receive these family packs of Warm clothes. This act of kind of kindness from Akhuwat and RCIM will surely protect these poor students of Tree School and their families from cold weather. Construction of Tree School Floor by Rotary Club of Islamabad
To support and enhance educational opportunities, the Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan has taken a significant step by constructing an entire floor for Tree School in Islamabad. This initiative reflects the club’s commitment to fostering a better learning environment for young students, providing them with improved facilities and space to grow academically. Through this project, the Rotary Club continues its mission of uplifting communities and empowering the next generation by ensuring they have access to quality education in a conducive and well-equipped setting.
Tree Plantation Drive by Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan
A tree plantation campaign was started by the Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan in Islamabad to realize the dream of a clean and green Pakistan, which was inaugurated by Deputy Director General Environment CDA Rana Tahir. Hundreds of saplings including Kachnar and Amaltas were planted in Islamabad during this campaign by Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan. Speaking at the event, Deputy Director General Environment CDA praised the efforts of Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan and called it a wonderful initiative toward the protection of the environment and said that rotary club of Islamabad metropolitan always stood along CDA in making Islamabad clean and green.
Tree Plantation Sign Board Installed by Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan

The Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan recently visited Tree School, reinforcing their commitment to supporting education and community development. President RCIM distributed uniforms, caps & scarfs at Tree School for the Students on December 17, 2024. President RCM and Past President Malik Ashraf Hameed Sahab arranged the distribution of these uniforms at Tree School with the contribution of RCIM members. Students of Tree School received these uniforms, caps & scarfs. This act of kind of kindness from members of RCIM will surely protect these poor students of Tree School from cold weather. Inauguration of Rotary Polio Immunization Centre & Free Medical Camp by RCIM of 1-1-2025
Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan organized a Free Medical Camp in Collaboration with CDA Health Directorate on Wednesday January 01, 2025 at Merabadi G-12, Islamabad. Rotary Immunization Centre and Free Medical Camp were inaugurated by DG Health Directorate Dr. Irshad Ali Jokhio, President RCIM Shabbir Malik and National Polio Plus Committee Member Madam Tayaba Naheed Gull. Around 300 patients (150 women, 120 children and 30 males) got checked up by the team of professional Doctors and para medical staff. Children under age of 5 year vaccinated and immunized with Polio drops. Free medicines were provided to all the patients at Free Medical Camp by RCIM as per description of doctors.
Distribution of Woolen Shawls to Girls Students of Tree School on 13-01-2025
President RCIM distributed Woolen Shawls at Tree School for the Girls Students on January 13, 2025. President RCM and Past President Malik Ashraf Hameed arranged the distribution of these Woolen Shawls at Tree School with the contribution of RCIM veteran member Mr. Tazeem Chaudhry. Girls Students of Tree School were very happy to receive these woolen shawls.



RCIM Provided 12 Sewing Machines to Mashal on 14-01-2025
During our last visit to Gosha e Mashal, Margalla Town, Islamabad on January 14, 2025 at 11.15 am various projects were discussed which RCIM and Gosha e Mashal can jointly undertake. At that time RCIM delegation was requested by the Management of Gosha e Mashal for donation of Sewing Machines, Multi Media Projector with screen and Science Lab equipment. President RCIM put up their requirements in last Board meeting and it was decided by BOD that RCIM will donate sewing machines first then other requirements will be considered later. So, with the contribution of our 10 RCIM members i.e. Rs.150,000/-, we purchased 13 Singer Sewing Machines with electric motors. 12 Machines donated to Gosha e Mashal and one to a poor lady Ms. Sumera Shahid living in Islamabad Vally, adjacent to Sector I-12, Islamabad on her request.
RCIM Provided Medical Furniture to Rotary Health Centre Mehrabadi G-12, Islamabad
During our last visit and Free Medical Health Camp held at Rotary Mother & Child Health and Polio Immunization Centre, Mehrabadi G-12 Islamabad on January 01, 2025, RCIM delegation was requested by the Management of Rotary Health Centre for donation of Medical Furniture. President RCIM put up their request in the Board and it was decided by BOD that RCIM will donate Medical Furniture to above Rotary Health Centre. So, with the approval of BOD, we purchased following Medical Furniture for the above Rotary Health Centre:
- Patients’ checkup Couch
- 3 Benches for waiting patients
- 2 IV Stands
- 6 plastic chairs for staff & visitors
On February 8, 2025, RCIM delegation (President Shabbir Malik, Vice President Majid Qureshi, PP Dr. Malik Ashraf & Rtn Mrs. Shehnaz Hasnain) visited Rotary Mother & Child Health & Polio Immunization Centre Mehrabadi G-12 Islamabad and handed over the above Medical Furniture to the Rotary Health Centre:
On behalf of YCP and PolioPlus Committee, Madam Tayaba Gull acknowledged the receipt of above Medical Furniture and appreciated the good gesture of RCIM.
Rotary Free Medical Camp & Polio Immunization Centre by

of 15-2-2025 at Fateh Jang, District Attock
Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan organized a Free Medical Camp in Collaboration with Anjuman Behbood e Mareezan Fateh Jang on Saturday February 15, 2025 at Old Hospital Fateh Jang. Rotary Free Medical Camp & Polio Immunization Centre was inaugurated by MPA Ch. Sher Ali Khan, Tehsildar Ch Shafqat Mehmood, President RCIM Shabbir Malik and President Anjuman Behbood e Marizan Rafaqat Awan. Renowned Dr of Audiology Syed Sajjad Ahmed of Shifa International Hospital and Renowned Eye Surgeon Dr. Irfan Ullah Kundi of Al-Ain International Eye Hospital Islamabad attended RCIM Free Medical Camp at Fateh Jang and checked hundreds of poor patients and given them free medicines, glasses with eyes and ear checkup. Two Medical Specialists from Fateh Jang i.e. Dr. Sana Rehman and Dr Ihsan Ullah also joined the Medical for general checkup.
RCIM Distributed 61 Ramzan Ration Packs, March 11, 2025
As per RCIM past practice, we distribute Ration Packs to underserved communities every year. This Ramzan we distributed 61 Ration Packs (31 in Tree School and 30 at Margalla Town) to orphans, widows and poor families on March 11, 2025. With the contribution of our 15 RCIM members i.e. Rs.273,500/-, we purchased 61 Ration packs @Rs.4,499/-
Tree Plantation Drive by Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan Initiated, March 20, 2025
According to the details, tree plantation drive initiated by the Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan in Islamabad to realize the dream of a clean and green Capital of Islamabad, which was inaugurated by Director General Environment CDA Ms. Nazia Ibrar. Hundreds of big size Kachnar saplings were planted at Iran Avenue, E-11, Islamabad during this campaign by Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan. Speaking at the event, Director General Environment CDA praised the efforts of Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan and called it a wonderful initiative toward the protection of the environment and said that Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan always stood along CDA in making Islamabad clean and green.

Clean Drinking Water Project of Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan has played a tremendous role in clean drinking water in this respect water filtration cubes were distributed in underserved villages of Islamabad to provide clean and safe drinking water to underserved communities.
Construction of Tree School Boundary Wall on 14-05-2025
Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan supporting a BECS School which is running under a Tree. Its an open area of Village Bhaikar Fateh Bakhsh Sector E-13, Islamabad. Students attend their classes under shadow of Tree. So, Board of RC Islamabad Metropolitan decided to construct a boundary wall for the safety of students and teachers especially female teachers. Today the construction of boundary wall was completed and inaugurated by RCIM President and members. This act of kindness from members of RCIM will surely provide secure environment to these poor students of Tree School. Distribution of
Water Filtration Cubes By RCIM,
June 29, 2025
For eradication of Polio from our country, Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan undertook various activities for the same. RCIM distributed Lifesaver Water Filtration Cube to provide safe drinking water to underserved families of village Shah Rai Bahabar Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock thus protecting them from polio virous and other viral diseases. Lifesaver Cubes were given to 20 females of this village by RCIM on June 29, 2025. All families were gathered at the farmhouse of President RCIM Shabbir Malik to receive their water filtration cubes.
